Gleebooks Launch

Back from the big road trip to the big smoke and can tell you it was a total hoot. Great crowd, book sales and best of all, feedback. We're in a bit of a vacuum out here in the sticks and it was great to catch up with everyone. Thanks for coming along and your support.

ON THE ROAD

As we hurtle through space there is plenty of time for contemplation and to try to make sense of the journey that has led us to this point.

Unlike the trajectory of the journey we are taking, all planned out and set out with a map to follow, a life's journey accretes - and becomes a map you can't refold. You don't know where you were heading until you arrive.

So, this journey, as we play our songs over and over again, I am going to try to write down all the emotional meaning they carry and to tell the story of the five years it took to make the record.

It's a story, of joy, near death, a divorce, ecstatic moments, my mother's dementia, a heatwave, threats of violence, tears, reconciliation, silence, and a suicide all wind up in the final mix.
