Lime Burner 23.12.10

Brand new song - trying to figure out the best arrangement. This session on Christmas eve was our first go together. Geoff had been working up the melody and uke part, but to this point, I'd only really been hearing it as part of the sonic furniture.

It came together after a visit to McLeay Island where he picked up a brochure about the local history of the bay islands. Much of Brisbane was built from mortar made from the burning of oyster shells. They were so plentiful then that the lime burners thought nothing of throwing live creatures into the flames.

The Persian Version is a nod to Mohsen and Mohsen, Iranian muso mates.
