Back Up The Car

And the last of the videos for a bit - at least until next month. They really chew through the monthly plan allowance.
It's about leaving, coming back home and not being afraid to admit you took a few wrong turns.

ON THE ROAD

As we hurtle through space there is plenty of time for contemplation and to try to make sense of the journey that has led us to this point.

Unlike the trajectory of the journey we are taking, all planned out and set out with a map to follow, a life's journey accretes - and becomes a map you can't refold. You don't know where you were heading until you arrive.

So, this journey, as we play our songs over and over again, I am going to try to write down all the emotional meaning they carry and to tell the story of the five years it took to make the record.

It's a story, of joy, near death, a divorce, ecstatic moments, my mother's dementia, a heatwave, threats of violence, tears, reconciliation, silence, and a suicide all wind up in the final mix.
